Brent Fletcher, MD

Dr. Fletcher completed his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas and worked in industry for a few years before starting medical school. Midway through medical school he spent two years in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute – National Institutes of Health Research Scholars program. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Inc. (ABPN) in both Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

He went to medical school at UAMS in Little Rock, AR. He did his Adult Psychiatry residency at the University of Utah and completed his Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at UCSF.

Currently most of his current patients are still in the Bay Area, where he was named one of the top 3 most highly rated psychiatrists in San Francisco by threebestrated.com when he left in June of 2018 to move to his private practice to San Diego.

He is currently in-network with Cigna/Evernorth, Aetna and Anthem Blue Cross. He accepts some Blue Shield plans…specifically ones that subcontract through MHSA (generally these are Blue Shield plans that are not through a government employer, but do include most Affordable Care Act plans).
